New drug aims to cut sickle cell pain attacks short

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called CSL889 in 70 adults and teens with sickle cell disease who are having a painful crisis. The drug is given through a vein and may help the crisis end faster. The main goals are to check safety and see how long it takes for pain to go away.
