First human test of new immune drug begins
NCT ID NCT05937581
Summary
This was the first study to test a new drug called CSL040 in humans. Researchers gave 62 healthy adults either the drug or a placebo to check for side effects and see how the body processes it. The goal was to gather initial safety data to see if CSL040 could be developed further to treat diseases caused by an overactive part of the immune system called the complement system.
