First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether a device that delivers cold therapy and compression (called NICE1) can reduce pain and the need for opioid painkillers after spinal surgery. About 156 adults having elective spinal fusion or laminectomy will be randomly assigned to receive either the NICE1 therapy or standard care. The goal is to see if this approach leads to better pain control and shorter hospital stays.
