First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests if a brief cold spray applied right before a steroid injection can reduce pain for people with raised scars (keloids or hypertrophic scars). 30 adults will have each scar split into two halves: one half gets cold therapy plus the injection, the other gets the injection alone. Patients and doctors will rate pain and resistance to see if the cold helps.
