Freezing nerves to thaw stiffness: new hope for cerebral palsy patients

NCT ID NCT07321366

Summary

This study is testing a procedure called cryoneurolysis, which uses extreme cold to temporarily freeze specific nerves. The goal is to see if this can reduce painful and disabling muscle stiffness in the shoulder and elbow for people with cerebral palsy who have run out of other treatment options. Researchers will measure if it helps patients achieve personal goals for movement and comfort, and will carefully track any side effects.
