Ice pack showdown: new device vs. Old-School cold for knee surgery pain

Summary

This study compares a special cold-and-compression machine to regular ice packs for pain relief after total knee replacement. About 138 adults having knee surgery will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. The main goal is to see if the machine reduces pain better than ice packs 48 hours after surgery.
