Lung cancer patients get Freeze-and-Burn treatment during routine scope

NCT ID NCT07530744

First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study is for people with early-stage lung cancer who are already scheduled for a bronchoscopy (a scope procedure to take tissue samples). During that same procedure, doctors will use a special device that first freezes and then heats the tumor. The tumor will then be surgically removed as planned, and researchers will check how well the device worked. The goal is to see if this extra step safely helps control the tumor before surgery. About 20 people will take part.
