New brain & body therapy trial aims to tame debilitating pain syndrome

NCT ID NCT07208825

Summary

This study is testing a comprehensive treatment plan to help people with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a severe and long-lasting pain condition. Researchers are combining a non-invasive brain stimulation technique (rTMS) with personalized physical therapy, occupational therapy, and optimized medication. The goal is to see if this combined approach, and the specific timing of the different therapies, can better reduce pain and help patients regain daily function and work capacity.
