Wearable sensors reveal hidden effects of nerve stimulation for chronic pain

NCT ID NCT07147140

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at 24 people with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in their legs who already use a spinal nerve stimulator (DRGS) for pain relief. Researchers used special wearable sensors to track heart rate, breathing, sleep, and activity while the stimulator was on and off. The goal was to see how the treatment affects the body beyond just pain scores, helping doctors better manage the condition.
