Dental crown showdown: which material wins for comfort and looks?

NCT ID NCT07521501

First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study will compare two types of dental crowns—zirconia-reinforced glass-ceramic and ultra-translucent zirconia—in 20 adults aged 21-50 who need a crown on a treated tooth. Researchers will check how well the crowns fit, their color stability, gum health, and any fractures over 12 months. Patient satisfaction will also be measured. The goal is to find which crown material performs better with a conservative tooth preparation.
