New drug trial offers hope for kids with devastating kidney disorder

NCT ID NCT04958265

Summary

This study is testing an investigational drug called crovalimab in children with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS), a rare and serious disease that damages the kidneys. The goal is to see if the drug can safely control the disease by blocking part of the immune system that mistakenly attacks the body. The trial includes children who are new to this type of treatment and those switching from similar medications.
