First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This small study tests whether a device that connects brain signals to electrical muscle stimulation can improve swallowing and language difficulties in people who had a stroke at least three months ago. Ten participants will use the system for hand rehabilitation, while researchers measure changes in swallowing safety and language ability. The goal is to see if this approach can ease lingering symptoms after stroke.
