NCT ID NCT07164209

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looked at 73 adults with Crohn's disease who needed surgery to remove part of their small and large intestine. Researchers compared two different ways of reconnecting the bowel: one that removes the fatty tissue around the intestine (mesentery) and one that keeps it (Kono-S). The goal was to see which method better prevents the disease from coming back in the first 18 months after surgery.
