Cuddly crochet creatures combat Kids' needle fright
NCT ID NCT06746506
Summary
This study tested if playing with special crocheted toys, called amigurumi, could help reduce pain and fear in young children getting their blood drawn. Researchers worked with 96 children, aged 4 to 6, at a hospital's emergency department. They compared kids who played with a toy during the procedure to kids who received standard care, measuring their pain and fear using simple picture scales.
