First seen Nov 25, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study compared two self-help methods for people with long-term low back pain: craniosacral therapy (a gentle hands-on technique) and progressive muscle relaxation. 76 adults learned one of these methods over 12 weeks and were followed for a year. The goal was to see if teaching these techniques at home can reduce pain and improve daily function.
