First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tested whether a daily capsule of cranberry, hibiscus, vitamin C, and lactobacillus could extend the time between water breaking early (PROM) and delivery in 84 pregnant women between 24 and 34 weeks. Half got the supplement, half got a placebo for 10 days. The goal was to see if the supplement safely prolongs pregnancy and reduces complications for mother and baby.
