New study checks if a simple exercise test can be trusted for heart and lung diagnosis

NCT ID NCT07281534

First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at how consistent a special exercise test (CPET with echocardiography) is when repeated. The test checks both heart and lung function without needing a tube inside the body. Researchers want to know if changes seen in the test are real or just due to measurement error. About 30 adults who can exercise will take the test twice to see if results are reliable.
