Breathing support breakthrough for sick babies?
NCT ID NCT04677556
Summary
This study aimed to find the best non-invasive breathing support for infants hospitalized with severe viral bronchiolitis. It directly compared two common methods—CPAP and NiPPV—to see which one more effectively reduced the infant's breathing effort. The goal was to gather evidence to help doctors choose the support that might best help these babies avoid needing a breathing tube (intubation).
