Breathing aid tested to speed recovery in Kids' airway surgeries
NCT ID NCT06183515
Summary
This study tested whether using CPAP (a gentle air pressure mask) after balloon dilation surgery helps children with a narrowed windpipe (subglottic stenosis) recover faster. Researchers compared 81 children who received CPAP after surgery to those who did not, looking at recovery time and breathing complications. The goal was to see if this common breathing support method could reduce problems like low oxygen levels after these delicate airway procedures.
