Researchers track COVID's echo: how the virus affects hearing over time

NCT ID NCT07199972

Summary

This study aimed to understand the link between COVID-19 infection and tinnitus, a ringing in the ears. Researchers in Brazil followed 233 adults who had COVID-19, comparing those who developed new tinnitus, those who already had it, and those with no tinnitus. They tracked how this condition changed from 2020 to 2024 to see if the pandemic's timeline affected it.
