Summary

This small, completed study tested if adding plasma from people who recovered from COVID-19 to standard hospital treatment could help patients get better. It involved 55 hospitalized adults with COVID-19 pneumonia. Researchers compared patients who received two plasma transfusions over two days plus standard care against those who received only standard care.
