Light vs. touch: new therapies tested to help COVID patients breathe easier
NCT ID NCT06795841
Summary
This study tested two different physical therapies for COVID-19 patients in the intensive care unit. Researchers compared low-level laser therapy and specialized massage techniques to see which helped reduce inflammation and improve recovery more. After leaving the hospital, all patients received a 12-week home exercise program via video calls to continue their rehabilitation.
