Summary
This study looked at whether the COVID-19 pandemic caused more financial hardship and distress for Women of Color compared to other women who decided not to take part in a breast cancer screening trial called TMIST. Researchers surveyed 14 women aged 45-74 about job loss, income changes, and housing or food insecurity. The goal was to understand if these financial pressures differ by race, which could help improve future study participation.
