Can therapy stop couples from fighting? scientists measure stress to find out

NCT ID NCT03498638

Summary

This small, ended study aimed to understand if standard couples therapy could help prevent mild to moderate physical conflicts in relationships. Researchers worked with 10 couples experiencing this type of violence to see if therapy could stop fights from getting worse or happening again. They measured partners' stress levels during therapy to learn how their bodies responded to treatment, focusing on gathering knowledge rather than providing a proven cure.
