New heart pump technology tested in humans for first time
NCT ID NCT06907017
Summary
This study is testing a new mechanical heart pump called the CorWave LVAS in people with advanced heart failure. The device helps the heart pump blood when it's too weak to work properly on its own. Researchers will follow 20 patients to see if the pump is safe and helps them survive longer while waiting for a heart transplant or living with the device.
