Tiny 'Natural Lens' implant could end need for reading glasses
NCT ID NCT04465409
Summary
This study is testing a small, bioengineered implant called CorVision that is placed inside the cornea (the clear front part of the eye) to improve close-up vision for people with presbyopia, the age-related loss of near vision. The procedure uses a laser to create a tiny pocket in the non-dominant eye for the implant, aiming to reduce or eliminate the need for reading glasses. Researchers are primarily checking if the implant is safe and if it effectively improves near vision without glasses for at least 12 months after surgery.
