Could a hidden stress hormone be worsening your diabetes?
NCT ID NCT07156370
Summary
This study aims to understand how common high levels of the stress hormone cortisol are in people whose type 2 diabetes remains hard to control despite standard treatments. Researchers will enroll 500 adults with difficult-to-manage diabetes to measure their cortisol levels using saliva tests. The main goal is to see if there's a link between these hormone levels and blood sugar control, which could help identify a treatable cause for some cases of stubborn diabetes.
