NCT ID NCT04917757
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study follows over 3,600 adults with adrenal tumors (non-cancerous growths on the adrenal gland) to see if slightly high cortisol levels increase the risk of death or heart problems like heart attacks and strokes. Participants were identified from hospital scans between 1996 and 2015 and had a simple overnight dexamethasone test to measure cortisol. The goal is to understand whether these common tumors need closer monitoring or treatment.
