New supplement aims to clear menopause brain fog
NCT ID NCT06748989
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Sep 03, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests a dietary supplement called Cortexium, which contains PQQ, GABA, caffeine, and B vitamins, to see if it improves memory and focus in healthy postmenopausal women. About 70 women will take either the supplement or a placebo for a period, and their cognitive function will be measured using computer tests. The goal is to find a safe, non-drug way to support brain health during menopause.

- Active substance
- Cortexium dietary supplement (pyrroloquinoline quinone, gamma-aminobutyric acid, caffeine, B vitamins)
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this supplement could help ease memory lapses and concentration problems that many women experience during menopause.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small early-stage study with only 70 participants. The supplement may not work better than a placebo, and results may not apply to all women.
