Scientists compare core strength and pelvis shape in athletes vs. couch potatoes

NCT ID NCT07031934

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at 114 healthy adults (athletes and sedentary people) to see if core muscle endurance is linked to pelvic width and pelvic oscillations. Participants did wall sits and trunk holds to measure endurance, while pelvic width was measured with a caliper. The goal was simply to understand these relationships, not to test a treatment.
