New cord blood treatment tested for tough leukemia

NCT ID NCT07256353

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new type of cell therapy for adults with a hard-to-treat blood cancer called B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). The therapy uses immune cells (CAR-T cells) made from donated umbilical cord blood, not the patient's own cells. Researchers will give the treatment to up to 50 adults to check its safety, find the best dose, and see if it can put the cancer into remission.
