Umbilical cord skin grafts tested for stubborn leg wounds

NCT ID NCT07449988

Not yet recruiting Disease control Sponsor: StimLabs Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study is testing whether adding skin substitutes made from human umbilical cord tissue to standard wound care helps heal stubborn venous leg ulcers better than standard care alone. Researchers will enroll 272 adults with leg ulcers that haven't healed after 4-52 weeks of standard treatment. The trial will compare complete wound closure rates over 12 weeks between those receiving the cord-based products plus standard care versus those receiving only standard care.
