Summary
This study looked at 100 people with COPD who were sedated for a stomach and colon exam. Researchers wanted to see if certain risk factors, like past flare-ups or hospital stays, could predict breathing problems during the procedure. They also tested a new monitoring tool called the Integrated Pulmonary Index (IPI) to see if it could spot trouble earlier than standard methods. No new treatments were given—just careful observation.
