New hope for easier breathing: strength training tested for COPD recovery
NCT ID NCT07302425
Summary
This study is testing a new approach to help people recover after a severe COPD flare-up (exacerbation). It compares two types of exercise: high-intensity strength training and traditional endurance training. The goal is to see if strength training is easier to tolerate and better at reducing breathlessness and improving leg strength for people who have recently been in the hospital.
