First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study aims to create a personalized prediction system for sudden worsening of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), known as flare-ups. Researchers will collect health data from 442 COPD patients and healthy volunteers over three years, including breathing tests and immune information. Using cloud computing and data analysis, they hope to identify risk factors and build a tool to predict when a flare-up might happen, helping doctors intervene earlier.
