Researchers dig through old hospital records to map COPD breathing treatments
NCT ID NCT07508943
Summary
This study looks back at the hospital records of 1,000 patients who were hospitalized for a severe flare-up of their chronic lung disease (COPD). The goal is to understand the patterns in how doctors choose and adjust different types of breathing support, like oxygen masks or ventilators, during a patient's hospital stay. No patients will be contacted or receive any new treatments as part of this research—it only analyzes information already collected during their past care.
