Cooling vests could save weekend warriors from heat stroke
NCT ID NCT07539714
First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether wearing a special cooling vest before exercise can help recreational athletes (who exercise less than 3 times a week) avoid heat-related problems like heat stroke. Thirty participants will exercise in a hot, humid room, with or without the vest, while researchers measure heart rate, skin temperature, and how hard the exercise feels. The goal is to find a simple, non-tiring way to make exercise safer in hot weather.
