Chilling skin to stop acne oil? early device test shows promise

NCT ID NCT01686841

Summary

This small, completed pilot study tested whether cooling the skin with a special device could safely reduce oil (sebum) production, which is linked to acne. It involved 11 young men with oily skin on their upper backs. Researchers measured oil levels before and after the cooling treatment to see if it made a difference and checked for any side effects.
