First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This small pilot study tested whether a cooling device could safely reduce sebum (oil) production in 11 young men with acne. The treatment was applied to the upper back, and oil levels were measured with a special patch. The goal was to see if cooling could lower oil production by at least 30% without causing unexpected side effects.
