First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at whether gently cooling the body (mild hypothermia) can reduce heart damage in people having a severe heart attack complicated by shock. Participants will already be on a heart-lung machine (ECMO) and undergo emergency artery-opening treatment. The goal is to see if cooling helps the heart heal better and improves short-term survival.
