Cooling the ears to quiet the ringing: new device tested for tinnitus
NCT ID NCT07017998
Summary
This study is testing if a special cooling headband can reduce the severity of chronic tinnitus, the perception of ringing or buzzing in the ears. Researchers will enroll 80 adults with constant tinnitus to use the device at home for a single 30-minute session. They will compare symptom reports from people using the real cooling device to those using a placebo device to see if it helps.
