Cooling headband aims to quiet the ringing in your ears
NCT ID NCT07071480
Summary
This study is testing a non-invasive headband device that gently cools the inner ear to see if it can reduce the severity of chronic tinnitus, commonly known as ringing in the ears. About 40 adults with persistent tinnitus will use the device for 30 minutes in a clinic and then at home for six months, tracking their symptoms. Researchers will compare results from people receiving the real cooling therapy to a control group receiving a sham (fake) treatment.
