First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study compares two minimally invasive procedures—cooled radiofrequency and thermal radiofrequency—to relieve chronic lower back pain caused by worn facet joints. Researchers will enroll 100 adults aged 30 to 70 who have had pain for at least 3 months and haven't gotten relief from medications or physical therapy. The goal is to see which technique provides better pain reduction using a standard 0-to-10 pain scale.
