First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests a behavioral program called contingency management for people who have had a liver transplant due to alcohol-related liver disease and have started drinking again. Thirty participants will be randomly assigned to either receive the 10-week reward program (where they earn money for negative alcohol tests) or standard care. The goal is to see if offering small financial incentives can help reduce drinking and improve health outcomes.
