First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests a behavioral program called contingency management for 30 liver transplant patients who have started drinking again. Half will receive rewards (up to $80 per week) for negative alcohol tests over 10 weeks, while the other half gets standard care. The goal is to see if rewards increase the number of alcohol-free days and help patients manage their alcohol use disorder.
