Medicated contact lens aims to ease Post-Surgery eye pain

NCT ID NCT06085352

Summary

This small, early-stage study tested a special bandage contact lens designed to release pain medication after PRK laser eye surgery. Ten participants wore the test lens in one eye and a standard lens in the other for six days to compare pain relief and comfort. The main goals were to see if the lens safely reduced pain and helped the eye heal, while tracking how much extra pain medication people needed.
