First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at whether playing computer-based brain games (CogniFit and Cogmed) can improve memory, attention, and self-control in children. 176 primary school students in Hong Kong were randomly assigned to one of two training programs or a waitlist group. Children trained for 15-20 minutes, three times a week for 8 weeks. Researchers measured thinking skills before, right after, and two months after training, and also asked parents about their child's behavior.
