Computer guides doctors to better destroy liver tumors

NCT ID NCT07226869

Summary

This study tests whether computer software that shows doctors exactly what part of a liver tumor has been treated during a microwave ablation procedure helps them completely destroy the cancer. Researchers will compare results using this guidance software against past treatments to see if it reduces incomplete treatments and cancer recurrence over two years. The study involves 100 adults with liver cancer who will receive the guided treatment and follow-up scans every three months.
