Summary

This study tested whether a computer model could help choose which electrodes in a cochlear implant to turn on for each person, aiming to improve their ability to understand speech. Fourteen adults with cochlear implants participated. Researchers compared the model's recommended settings to the standard settings by measuring how well participants could identify vowels, consonants, words, and sentences.
