Summary

This study tested whether a computer model can help choose which electrodes in a cochlear implant should be active to improve speech understanding. Fourteen adult cochlear implant users tried model-recommended settings and standard settings. The goal was to see if the computer-guided settings lead to better word and sentence recognition.
