Leg stockings may ease sleep apnea symptoms
NCT ID NCT05477719
First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether wearing special compression stockings during the day for 28 days could reduce breathing pauses during sleep in people with sleep apnea. The idea is that the stockings prevent fluid from building up in the legs and moving to the neck at night, which can block breathing. 25 adults with moderate to severe sleep apnea who had stopped other treatments took part.
